Accreditation

The Haslam College of Business was first accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 1941, becoming the 53rd school to earn this distinguished accreditation. Currently 817 business schools in 53 countries hold this honor. Haslam also is among the 186 institutions that holds an additional, specialized AACSB accreditation for its accounting program.

In 2022, UT went through the five-year maintenance of accreditation process for both the college and accounting, receiving continued accreditation of both until 2027. The AACSB accreditation process is a comprehensive review of a school’s mission, faculty qualifications, and curricula, and the process includes self-evaluations, peer-reviews, committee reviews and the development of in-depth strategic plans. Accreditation ensures that students are learning material most relevant to their field of study, preparing them to be effective leaders upon graduation.
